It is deer hunting season in Maine and a few of my relatives have been wandering through the woods glowing like giant orange pumpkins. The deer, on the other have been hanging out close to the ASWM offices. They have figured out that office parks are gun-free.
Hunters worry about a lot of things including how to get a dead deer out of the woods. It’s a lot of work. ATV’s or little plastic snow sleds are transportation devices of choice, but my now-retired-homicide-detective-husband thinks he has discovered a superior alternative — a body bag. Apparently it is possible to purchase a body bag off the internet from sites such as crimescene.com and he has secured one. The other hunters in my family are somewhat appalled by his notion. However, I would point out that these same family members would perfectly understand why a hunter would tie a dead deer to the front hood of his or her car and drive around show it off for a couple days. While I’m more or less indifferent to what is used to transport a deer, I do foresee some complications–like the explanations a couple orange pumpkins will have to make when they are seen dragging a large, heavy body bag out of the woods and dumping it into the trunk of their car.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
