The mission of Québec 2000: Millennium Wetland Event is to foster the understanding and sustainability of the World's peatlands and wetlands. Details on the Millennium Wetland Event are provided at http://www.cqvb.qc.ca/wetland2000.

There are a number of presentations at the MWE that focus on wetlands and global climate change. The United States Geological Survey, a corporate sponsor of the MWE, has supported the construction of this site to improve access to abstracts for papers and poster presentations pertaining to climate change.
