The House Agriculture Committee approved its version of the farm bill early Thursday morning, but uncertainty remains for farmers and lawmakers as to what provisions will be in the final bill and when Congress will approve it. The 2008 farm bill expires Sept. 30, which means Congress will have to move quickly if it is going to adopt a new bill instead of passing an extension.
